Faith Promise Sunday 4/14/24 “One Way AND Another!” – World Missions

Thinking about it:

When a task is assigned to someone by an authority figure, and the authority figure says, “This needs to get done, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER”… 

• What does that say about the importance of the task?
• What does that mean for the person to whom the task is assigned?
• What does this say about how the authority figure will respond if it does not get done?

The Lord (how’s THAT for an “authority figure?”) told us, his disciples, to “Go, and make disciples of all nations”… it is a commission… it is a command… from our ultimate authority figure. “All nations” includes where you live as well as nations you are unable to reach. We must get this done “one way AND another!”

Read Matthew 28:18-20… what level of authority does this command come from?

• How did the Apostle Paul model the “one way OR another” urgency of reaching the unsaved?

• What is the “one way” each one of us is to go about making disciples of the people within our influence where we live?

• What is the “AND another” way each one of us is to go about making disciples of the nations around the world?

  • Acts 13:2-3
  • II Corinthians 9:7-8

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…”

PRAY: Thank God that He sent people to make disciples of those responsible for influencing you to become a disciple! You are now in the “chain of custody” of the Gospel message! Who are you to influence to become disciples in your “world?” … who are you to help influence to become disciples around the world? Pray and commit to obey the great commission “One Way AND Another!”
